The Muscogee (Creek) Nation started in gaming in the 1980’s with the beginnings of the tribe’s first bingo hall on the east bank of the Arkansas River at 81st street in Tulsa. Within 10 years, the tribe faced legal challenges, but the 10th Circuit court and United States Supreme Court affirmed these gaming enterprises were within indian country and recognized the tribe as a sovereign entity.
From there, the tribe began to open bingo halls throughout the 11 counties within the Muscogee reservation.
